We are a family business with three generations (father, son, granddaughter and grandson) working on the farm. Our main business is farming at our farm just outside Tranent in East Lothian. We produce wheat for the brewing/ biscuit industry, barley for the malting/ whisky industry and potatoes for local restaurants/ chip shops. At Dolphingstone Farm we have a 40Kw biomass boiler and two 24Kw in our cottages on the farm. When looking for suppliers they all seemed to do the same thing, drop and run, even though we have a forklift we still need to put the pellets in by hand. Which then gave me the idea of offering the service of putting the pellets where the customer requests.
